Laura-I did see that, but it always seems like MMA only, Anyone have any ideas of how we can start the ball rolling on BJJ womens country wide training/competition?
I have my own business and have extra time, I would work my a** off if I knew which direction to go with it....:)

MJ - GFight had a summit this past January where women from all over the country came together to train and then fight. Now of course it was MMA, however, I am sure if we found someone to host and sponsor we could do the same for Jiu Jitsu... train, seminars and then have a tournament!

Kendra... appreciate any tips you have to share. I am about to start my PT certification process.
I recently had a Pankration fight in WI if anyone is interested in viewing it.. search my name on youtube: Laura Edler-Hill

If any women are interested in knowing more about pankration and how to get involved hit me up and I can get you in touch with my trainers who are also the USA Pankration Coaches.

Hey Kendra, good to know someone out here in the West! I train down in Gallup (New Mexico) and in Albuquerque sometimes, so if you're ever in the area you should stop by!

It is so great to know that you are all out here! How can we build stronger female training teams locally, without having to be affected by the politics of training at other gyms? :) Love to hear some thoughts....

Tip #1: Network, Network, Network. Get business cards ASAP. I have been a trainer, officially for about 6 months, but am graduating from college in two weeks with my degree in sport and exercise science. Be a sponge and soak up all the new techniques of training, and all of the new fads. Where do you train at?
