It would definitely be cool to have a women's open mat time in the Philly area. I'm training at NJMA right now. I'm going to have to swing by Balance at some point to train with some of you ladies.

There is a women's open mat tentatively planned for Jeff Gordon's school in MD in September-ish. When the info is confirmed, we'll be sure to post it here.

Hey ladies my stitches came out today and I am starting physical therapy ASAP can't wait to get back on the mat. Pamela- I will travel to Balance Philly I went there once with my instructor Rich Komar to take pictures for Phil. I should be able to actively roll like by September if everything goes well with therapy.

I think that it should definitely be possible to organize some women's open mat time. There's a few of us at Balance Studios. I'll talk to Phil and see if something can be arranged ... particularly before the next GQ.

come august i will again be living in swarthmore (i go to swarthmore college) and train at delco brazilian jiu-jitsu but my girlfriend lives in west philly (where i am this summer) so i sort of travel between philly and swat.

hey Krystyn good idea I live in south jersey and after I heal from my shoulder surgery I would love to train with other women I'm the only one at my school. Where in the philly area do you live?
